ALBUM: layla

BACK TO ALBUMS
Released in 2015, ‘Layla’ is a musical celebration that was performed by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring guest vocalist Daisy Chute and conductor Andy Brown.

The album was performed live at the Katara Opera House and served as a visceral interpretation of Dana’s first album ‘Paint’. Including popular songs such as ‘Paint’, ‘Pride of a Nation’ and ‘Layla’, the album is an exploration of introspection.

In the words of Dana: “It is about looking inside yourself and uncovering the different layers of paint that make up the whole. It is about personal growth. It seeks to resolve the conflict between self preservation and self awareness.”
